The Norwegian Research Centre on Sustainable Climate Change Adaptation (Noradapt), established in late 2018, seeks to build knowledge on sustainable climate change adaptation through a user-oriented approach, applying methods such as co-production of knowledge.

Noradapt holds that all adaptation efforts should be in accordance with the principles of sustainable development so as to avoid adding to the problem of climate change.

Climate change adaptation is a growing concern in Norway, as extreme weather events occur more frequently, leaving local communities in fear of the next unexpected and unseasonal mud slide or flood.

EOV partners Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), Norwegian Research Centre (NORCE) and the Centre for climate and energy transformation (CET) at the University of Bergen are partners in the project.
